 Spring is the perfect time to improve the "curb appeal" of your home, and update gardening activities to enhance your home's appearance for today's homebuyers.  Most REALTORS will tell you that the drive-up appeal or "curb appeal" will create more interest with prospective buyers and help you get more showings, thus leading to a successful sale in today's competitive real estate market.

For 2011, Daylight Savings Time begins on March 13; and officially Spring begins on March 20 according to the calendar.  Therefore, if you are like most people, some helpful tips, gardening reminders, and even  some Texas Garden Clinics from the experts would be most appreciated this time of year. Especially if you take a special interest in adorning your home's exterior to give it that special touch to set it apart, and you need to sell your home this year during the prime real estate season which begins in Spring and normally ends after Thanksgiving weekend when the holiday seasons begins.

If you live or own property in Collin County, North Dallas or the North Texas/DFW areas, a great website  filled with an abundance of good information and gardening related activities to help you spruce up your landscaping and enhance your homes exterior appeal to be ready to sell,  is provided by Calloway's Nursery which have several locations within the DFW Metroplex including McKinney, Richardson, Dallas, Denton, Flower Mound, Lewisville, 3 locations in Plano (to name just a few; there are others).

One of my favorite pages on their site is the "Join The Texas Garden Club."  Here you can sign up to receive gardening tips, garden and weather alerts and special savings.

Another feature of their site is it lists the 2011 Gardening Reminders by the months throughout the year.  For instance, the  gardening activities, advice and reminders for this month, for March are:

  Plant Spring Annuals & Perennials;  Plant Trees, Shrubs & Roses;  Apply Premium Lawn Food;  Spray & Kill Visible Weeds;  Purchase Caladium Bulbs;  and Prune Spring Flowering Shrubs.

Then, it goes on to give you a list of these reminders for all 12 months to assist you in your gardening activities through the year, including when to plant and how to maintain your landscaping to keep it in tip-top shape 12 months a year.  There are also FREE Texas Garden Clinics throughout the year that will help you succeed in the garden, as well as a wealth of information and invitations to attend their fun events and hear from the experts.

Well, there you have it!  So, get ready to have a beautiful landscaped home in 2011 with that special "Curb Appeal" that will encourage prospective buyers to want to see more, and make an appointment to view the home's interior.
