Where Can I Find Homes For Sale In Lovejoy ISD With Smaller Lots?
April 16th, 2013 11:12 AM

I get this questions a lot from home buyers that are wanting to live in the Lovejoy School District because they want their children attending the highly-rated exemplary schools, but they don't want a large acreage property to maintain.

The majority of the neighborhoods in the Lovejoy Schools areas are on acreage lots of at least one acre or larger home sites.  Those subdivisions in Fairview are mostly areas where the homes are on one acre or more.  Those subdivisions in Lucas are mostly homes on 1.5 to 2 acre lots or more.  This was established many years ago, due to the ranch estate type of developments that were designed for septic systems since city sewer was not available.

However, I have marketed, listed and sold to many families and individuals that request the Lovejoy ISD Exemplary schools for their children but do not want the one-acre or larger home sites that dominate the Lovejoy schools market areas.

So, where do you find homes for sale in Lovejoy ISD that are on smaller lots that are more similar to what you would most likely find if you were purchasing in the larger Collin County cities and school districts like those in Allen, Frisco, Plano and McKinney?

Here is the list of the areas where homes are located on smaller lots, and homes for sale may be available for families that don’t want the larger 1-2 acre estate lots but want the Lovejoy schools.

Lovejoy ISD - City of Allen – subdivisions:

These areas are primarily normal city lots, but presently attend all Lovejoy schools. The majority of the lots are approximately + .20 to .35 of an acre, and are on city sewer.

Country Brook

Lovejoy ISD - City of Lucas - Seis Lagos Utility District – subdivisions:

These subdivisions are part of the Seis Lagos Utility District, which has its own MUD sewer. Most of the lots are approximately + .30 to .50 acre lots,  although some of the homes in Seis Lagos are on home sites that could be as large as .75 of an acre.

Commons of Camden

Seis Lagos II

Seis Lagos I & Seis Lagos III – (areas/homes split between Lovejoy ISD & Wylie ISD).

Lovejoy ISD - City of McKinney – subdivisions:

Serenity  - Although new homes are still being built, homes that have sold or are for sale, as reported by NTREIS MLS, have lots that are approximately + .33 to .75 of an acre.
